Archie Brennan

Help Dovecot Studios tell the story of Scottish tapestry weaver Archie Brennan

at Dovecot Studios, Midlothian

Archie Brennan began his 60-year weaving career at Dovecot and went on to become the undisputed master of modern tapestry. However, he has not gained the recognition he deserves and continues to be one of the greatest unrecognised British artists of the 20th century. To realise the first major exhibition of his work in the UK (scheduled to open at Dovecot in March 2021), we have launched an Art Happens campaign with the Art Fund to raise £20,000.
